Obituary for C. Robert Jackson
C. ROBERT JACKSON, age 79, of Philadelphia passed away peacefully at home on June 7, 2015. Bob was a Loving husband to Carole for 54 years (nee Tschopp). Devoted father of Catherine Elder (Gregory); C. Robert Jackson, Jr. (Ty); David Jackson (Monica) and Patricia McLaughlin (Steve). Beloved grandfather of Jacquelyn, Nicholas, Joseph, Blaze, Olivia and Catherine and great grandfather of Ryan.
Bob’s greatest accomplishment was his four loving children. Spending time with them and his grand children brought him the greatest Joy. He was the father that could fix everything.
He served as a Master Sergeant with the U.S. Air Force.
Bob worked at the Philadelphia Inquirer for 48 years. He was an avid member of The American Radio Relay League (N3ZQB). He loved to tinker and work on his computer.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday, June 12, 2015, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and Saturday morning, June 13, 2015, from 9:00am until 10:00am. At L. A. DiGIACOMO, INC. FUNERAL HOME, 1055 Southampton Rd., Phila.
The funeral mass begins at 10:30am at St. Christopher Church, 13301 Proctor Rd., Phila. The Interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery. (Condolences and guestbook at www.DiGiacomoFuneralHome.com)
