Dorothy P. Shaffer (nee Peacock), age 94, passed away peacefully at home on December 3, 2015. Devoted wife of the late Roy Shaffer. Like a loving mother to Tara Leahy and her husband, William. Beloved sister of the late William Peacock, the late Liz Costello and the late Esther Wesley. Dear aunt of Jane Fecht and her husband, William; Beth Schreiber and her husband, Richard; Susan Mele and her husband, Joseph; Carol Doerle; William Peacock and his wife, Ruth; Charles Peacock and his wife, Anne; Lynn Peacock, and the late James Costello, also survived by numerous grand nieces and grand nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at 10:00am until 11:30am at L. A. DiGIACOMO, INC. FUNERAL HOME, 1055 Southampton Road, Philadelphia, followed by services 11:30am at the funeral home. Interment will be in William Penn Cemetery, Philadelphia.
