Obituary for William J. Nestel
WILLIAM J. NESTEL, age 53, retired Phila. Police detective, passed away on September 26, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. Devoted father of Lauren Marie Nestel and Christina Nestel. Loving son of Thomas J. Nestel, Jr. and Diane Nestel (nee Judge). Cherished grandfather of Olivia Grace Nestel. Beloved brother of Thomas J. Nestel, III and his wife, Elizabeth. Dear uncle of Thomas D., Emily and Abigail Nestel and cherished great uncle to Piper. Loving nephew to Joseph and Joan Nestel, William and Dolly Judge, Daniel and Lin Judge, Jeffrey and Kathy Judge and Kevin and Sara Judge, also survived by 14 cousins. Relatives, friends, members of FOP Lodge #5 and the Retired Police, Fire & Prison Guard Association of Philadelphia are invited to his visitation Monday, October 3, 2016 at 9:00am until 11:00am at 1055 Southampton Road, Phila., followed by services 11:00am at the funeral home. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Hero Scholarship Fund of Philadelphia, 5104 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, PA 19026. (www.DiGiacomoFuneralHome.com)
