Obituary for Marie Ellen Schmitt
MARIE ELLEN SCHMITT (nee Barlow), age 89 of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2017 at Roxborough Home for Women. Devoted wife of the late Harry C. Schmitt, Sr. Loving mother of Harry C. Schmitt, Jr. and his wife, Judy. Cherished grandmother of Harry C. Schmitt, III and his wife, Doreen; and Gregory G. Schmitt and his wife, Angela. Beloved great grandmother of Ian and Liam. Dear sister of Albert Barlow and the late William Barlow, Earl Barlow and Thomas Barlow. Relatives and Friends are invited to her visitation Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 10:00am until 12:00pm at L. A. DiGIACOMO, INC. FUNERAL HOME, 1055 Southampton Road, Philadellphia, followed by services 12:00pm at the funeral home. Her interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Roxborough Home for Women, 601 Leverington Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19128.
