Condolence: My heartfelt sympathy for the passing of Chief Dooley. It is a great loss to the residents of East Whiteland, like myself, as well as his family and the police officers who served under him. Chief Dooley, through his daily example and his high standards, including the care with which he chose his officers, helped the East Whiteland police force become regarded as one the finest in the area. He will be missed but remembered for many years to come! Respectfully, Mary Jane Fitch

Condolence: Uncle Gene was one sharp young gent when he spent about a year with our family in Deerfield, Illinois in the 1960s. I heard about his work with Harrison Ford but am not surprised about his many successes and wide influence. The world is far poorer for his loss. My prayers go out to his family and many friends!

Condolence: What a personal heartfelt loss I feel in the passing of Gene. Gene and I have been friends for so many years. We shared many a laugh, sorrow and happiness together. Gene could always be counted on to bring a positive light and laughter to whatever unpleasant situation arose. I think our biggest hurt and loss was when Gene and I lost Chuck O'Hanlon, we both wept together like a couple of young school kids, and we both carried that loss with us throughout the years, as we often talked about it. Our happiest times were when we were riding and practicing for the thrill show. Gene brought so much laughter, camaraderie and professionalism to the team, and he was an excellent rider, as well as, a caring, stand up guy, cops cop and loyal friend. Gene has certainly left his mark in life with a fond lasting impression on the people who knew him, as well as, many happy memories with the friends who loved him. Personally speaking, Gene's passing has left a void in my life, and I will surely miss him very much.

The members of our CopNET family would like to thank my friend Gene Dooley for his dedication and service to the citizens of Philadelphia. The passing of Highway Patrolman Dooley will be broadcast to our 3,570 members shortly and we would like to extend our sincere condolences to his family. His absence from our ranks will be deeply missed by the remaining members of Philadelphia’s Finest who were fortunate to have served with him during his police career. He will continue in our thoughts and prayers during our remaining days. "Until we meet again, may God Hold you, the legend, in the palm of his hand. " . . . Semper Fidelis.
