JOHN H. WILSON, age 94, passed away on January 8, 2013. As a Warrant Officer and Twenty-year Navy veteran, Mr. Wilson proudly served aboard the USS Boise (CL-47), a legendary battle cruiser that transported General Douglas McArthur thousands of miles through a multitude of battles throughout the Pacific Theatre. Loving husband of Jean (nee Riebel). Devoted father of John R. Wilson and his wife, Lisa. Beloved grandfather of Marc James Wilson, and his wife Laurie; Christopher Steven Wilson and his wife, Karen; Jennifer Carol DiGiovanni and her husband Dennis; and Carolyn Christie Geonnotti and her husband, Justin; and dear great grandfather of Brittany Wilson, Gregory Wilson, Alex Wilson, Jenna Wilson, Rocco DiGiovanni, and Gabriella Wilson. Beloved brother of the late Doris Rose Davis and the late Robert Thomas Wilson, Richard Haskings Wilson, Charles William Wilson and James Everette Wilson. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Saturday, 9:00AM until 11:00AM at L.A. DiGIACOMO INC. FUNERAL HOME, 1055 Southampton Rd., Phila., followed by services 11:00AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
