Mary Ellen and Mike Dowling
We knew him as "Mario, The Tailor." A man who always greeted us with a smile, swore to me that he understood the Italian Soccer game always on the TV when we entered the shop, assured me that I was a "beautiful woman" when I joked that I was getting to be an old lady, and laughed because I always bought long jeans and then cut off several inches. He told my husband and I about Italy, all the while pinning and marking our clothes for altering. We will miss him greatly, a legend on Shore Road, known for his impeccable work and cheerfulness. Our condolences to his family.
