when i think of dad one word comes to mind ---character. He indeed was a character whether thru his singing or humor or being the centerpiece of our family gatherings, but more importantly he was a man WITH character. He worked for SKF as a machinist for 40 years and during that time worked a second full time job for 17 years making sure his family always had what was needed. I will always cherish the trips to Cedar lake, myers dam,Myrtle Beach and of course Indian mountain lakes in the poconos. It was an unbelievably loving home to grow up in and a pleasure to see dad at home with his true love and best friend our mom Marge. We saw his strength, love and compassion as he took care of her every day until God called her. Later in life dad became an avid golfer. he golfed so many times at the Quartett club they gave him a job in the pro shop. It was tough to see dad struggle the last few years but he never ever lost his sense of humor.Any man can be a father but it takes a special man to be a dad. People often look to athletes or actors as their heroes but thats because they never met my dad. He was my dad, my mentor , my friend and my hero. I will truly miss him
